Duke freshman forward Cameron Boozer has won the ACC’s weekly men’s basketball awards for the second week in a row, the conference announced on Monday, December 8.

In a pair of top-15 wins, Boozer averaged 23.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 82% from the free-throw line.

During the Blue Devils’ 67-66 win over No. 15 Florida in the ACC/SEC Challenge, Boozer scored 29 points, six boards, two assists and a steal, marking his fifth game this season scoring 25 points or more.

In Duke’s 66-60 win over No. 7 Michigan State, the forward recorded the fifth double-double of his rookie campaign with 18 points, a season-high 15 rebounds, a team-best five assists, two steals and a blocked shot.

The Miami, Florida native has now won both weekly ACC awards in three of the first five weeks of the season, joining the ranks of former Blue Devil Cooper Flagg as only the second player in conference history to accomplish the feat at least three times in a season. A series of the weekly prizes has only been achieved 26 times by a total of 17 players, including 18 times by nine different Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils have had an ACC Player of the Week a total of 155 times, second most in the league behind only North Carolina (158). Over the last twelve seasons (since the start of 2013-14), Duke has had an ACC Rookie of the Week in 103 of a possible 209 weeks (49.3%). Twenty-eight different Blue Devils have won the award at least once during that time.
