Callaway Quantum Drivers (new series 2026 reviewed)

5 minutes, 16 seconds Read

The Callaway Quantum driver series is new for 2026 with four models launching: the Quantum TD, Max TD, Max D and TD-TD.

The driver series is the successor to the Elyte drivers that debuted in 2025 with the four new additions added to the USGA Conforming List in December, ahead of an upcoming launch.

The previous series included the Elyte, Triple Diamond, X and Max Fast, but there is no standard model in the new Quantum series yet.

The only models added to the compliant list prior to tour validation are the Triple Diamond, Max Triple Diamond, Max D and the Triple Diamond Tour Draw.

Callaway has introduced a Tri-face design, but little else in the way of technology in the Quantum drivers. We expect more models to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Specifications and design of Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond driver

The Triple Diamond model is largely seen on tour, with this driver being the most workable of the options in previous series, something we don’t expect to change in the Quantum model.

The TD driver is designed for strong, experienced players looking for versatility and control off the tee, and the Quantum is set up to gain more distance and consistency.

We know it will have a new Tri-face design from the Conforming list and the text Tri-force on the sole, but few details have been given on how that differs from the previous Ai 10x Face technology of the Elyte version.

The driver is expected to be constructed from Callaway’s Triaxial Carbon Crown for optimal weight distribution and improved stability and forgiveness.

It’s not yet clear if Callaway’s Jailbreak Speed Frame technology will stick around, but if it does, expect faster ball speeds across the face and striking distance.

There are adjustable tungsten weights on the back that can be set to fade or neutral, as well as an interchangeable weight on the front for fine-tuning launch conditions, spin rates and shot shape preferences.

This version of the Quantum is available in 8 degrees, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees with three degrees of adjustability (two degrees up and one degree down).

Specifications and design of Callaway Quantum Max TD driver

The Max Triple Diamond version of the model is virtually identical to the Quantum TD, but is a more forgiving option for handicap golfers.

Positioned as the high-forgiveness, high-MOI option in the lineup, the Max TD is ideal for mid to upper handicappers looking for maximum performance with less spin and more stability.

This model features a slightly larger head size combined with a strategically designed carbon crown and sole to maximize off-center forgiveness.

It features the same weighting with fade and neutral ports, as well as an interchangeable sole weight for adjusting setup for launch and carry distances.

The driver also mentions a Tri-face design and comes with the Tri-force marketing on the sole as two new technological elements.

The Elyte X is available in 8.5 degrees, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees with three degrees of adjustability.

Callaway Quantum Max D driver specifications and design

The only current model in the series that does not have the Triple Diamond logo or name, the Max D is the draw-biased variant for golfers who need to hit straighter drives.

The Max model has always been about forgiveness and the Max D model is designed to help players combat slice or inconsistent fades to launch straighter, longer drives.

The rear weight ports on the other models are not incorporated into this design, but internal weight raises the crown with a tension bias.

A movable tungsten weight is placed behind the clubface to help achieve maximum distance by promoting draw.

Also present in the carbon crown, which is slightly larger than other versions for greater confidence at address, the promise of a Tri-face and Tri-force and an adjustable hose.

It is sold in three loft options of 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with three degrees of adjustability.

Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond Tour Draw Driver Specifications and Design

The new addition to the series, the TD-TD, is the Triple Diamond Tour Draw and is a draw-oriented version of the elite model design for tour stars.

Although it is listed on the Conforming List as a left-handed model, this is not expected to be the case with the original listing for Akshay Bhatia to be able to play the driver.

It offers the same design setup as the Triple Diamond, including the Tri-face and Tri-force text behind the face, as well as an adjustable front weight.

There’s no view of a weight port at the rear, so it’s expected that the internal weight is structured towards the pull force also found in the Max D model.

The TD-TD model is sold in 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees with three degrees of adjustability (one degree down and two degrees up) via the OptiFit hose.

Callaway Quantum Drivers Review: Are They Any Good?

Callaway has arrived with the annual update and successor to the Elyte range, and we’re looking forward to getting our hands on them for testing.

The interesting step is the new models in the Triple Diamond Tour Draw and Triple Diamond Max, coupled with the lack of a standard model.

We don’t expect this to be the case with a Quantum model and that is expected to be fully revealed in the coming weeks.
