In recent years, the Calgary Flames have participated in the Penticton Young Stars Classic. This event-through the Vancouver Canucks-Was a mini tournament between the prospect groups of Western Canadian NHL teams. It was a great event for these emerging players to show their talents against their colleagues.
This year the Young Stars Classic will not be held. Instead, the Flames and Edmonton Oilers play a set of two games, one in each city, between the Rookies of their respective clubs. This house and house event is called the following Gen Showcase.
Game One is held in Edmonton on Friday 12 September at 7:00 pm Mt. Game two will be held in Calgary on Sunday, September 14 at 16:00 Mt.

Remarkable players
The most striking thing is that the Blueline contains the top two defense prospects in the organization: Zayne Parekh and Hunter Brzustewicz. Parekh will almost certainly make the flames out of the training camp. Brzustewicz will probably not, but he will certainly play NHL matches this season after his debut in Game 82 last season.
Also on the defense, top perspective Etienne Morin Die will play its first professional season will play and 2025 third round Pick Mace’o Phillips.
At Forward, various top perspectives have been drawn up in recent years, including the Andrew Basha born in Calgary. Jacob Battaglia, Matvei Gridin and Sam Honzek finish the top-two round picks on the forward ranks.
Carter King will also be an intriguing player to watch, who signed with his hometown team after a successful NCAA career at the University of Denver.
In between the pipes, Arsenii Sergeev is the top player to watch, also signed with the Flames after completing his NCAA career last year. He is accompanied by colleague NCAA Alum Owen.
