Cairns’ most expensive house sales of 2025 – realestate.com.au

A city apartment and a beachfront property were the most expensive homes to sell in Cairns this year, with the region recording 28 sales of $2 million and over in 2025.

A sub-penthouse in Cairns City and a seven-bedroom Kewarra Beach home, vying for the top spot, both sold for $3.35 million.

The unit at 90/1 Marlin Pde, Cairns City, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 270-degree views over Trinity Inlet, the city and the mountains.

The property, sold by Taylor Foster of McGrath Cairns, was renovated in 2023 by La Spina Homes and featured stone worktops, bespoke cabinetry, a luxurious master suite and easy indoor-outdoor flow.

The expansive coastal property at 54 Kewarra St, Kewarra Beach, sold by Michael Oxford of Professionals Cairns Beaches for $3.35 million, sits on a 1,650m2 block with beach access.

Recently renovated, the home features multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, a resort-style pool, and a luxurious master suite with two walk-in closets and a private balcony.

In third place was 35 Harbor Drive, Trinity Park, which was sold by Nathan Shingles of FNQ Hot Property for $2.9 million.

Located on an 800m² waterfront block in Bluewater Harbour, the property featured a 13.14m deep water frontage, an infinity pool, a fire pit, an 8m pontoon and a six-bedroom, six-bathroom designer home.

Next was the sale of Lot 1 Kamerunga Rd, Kamerunga, valued at $2.82 million in January 2025.

Known as ‘The Figs’, the 1.82 hectare estate has 130 year old fig trees, an expansive character house, an award-winning tennis court and garage parking for up to 11 cars.

There was also a wine cellar, a billiards room, two barns and an acre of landscaped landscaping.

The fifth most expensive sale in the Cairns region in 2025 was the $2.7 million sale of 6 Strutton Pl, Mooroobool, through Andrew Thornton of Champion Estate Agents in August.

Situated on a 1,523 m² block with 300 degree views of the ocean, city and mountains, the house had four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two double enclosed garages.

Spread over three levels, the residence had an easy indoor-outdoor flow that connected open-plan living areas, the pool and the balconies.
