Buying and selling dynasty: week 6

Buying and selling dynasty: week 6

5 minutes, 58 seconds Read

This is the time of year when things start to fall apart a little. You can see who is rising, who is disappearing and who remains steadfast. Here are the names that stood out this week and should be taken into consideration when creating NFL picks: those worth taking a step for or moving away from. Grab your cigar, pour your bourbon and let’s get started.

A. J. BarnerTE, Seahawks

AJ Barner is coming off back-to-back solid performances and is showing signs of becoming a key part of Seattle’s passing attack. After posting a career-high seven receptions he followed that up in week 5 three catches for 71 yards against Jacksonville. He has now done that 17 receptions for 205 yards and four touchdowns of the season, where he gets the best out of himself 19 goals. With his size and steady hands, he’s proving to be a reliable red zone option and one of the few tight ends trending right now.

Ken MolenaarRB, Saints

Kendre Miller could be one of the better signings right now as long as his numbers remain quiet. He had eight carries for 21 yards and one catch for 11 yards in the loss to New England, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. He comes close on average 10 carries a game over the past three weeks and has remained active behind Alvin Kamara. His role is stable and the Saints clearly trust him. If Kamara slows down or misses time, Miller’s touches and value will increase quickly, making this a good time to get him before that happens.

Darren WallerTE, Dolphins

Darren Waller has quietly been one of the few bright spots in Miami’s passing game. Even with just three goals last week, he made the most of it, scoring a touchdown late in the game to keep the Dolphins close. He has now done that four touchdowns alone on 10 catches This year he shows that he is still a favorite weapon at important moments. At 33, he’s not the explosive tight end he once was, but the production is still there when it counts. If you’re in contention and need a stable red zone option, now is a good time to pick him up while his price is still reasonable.

Michael Pittman Jr.WR, Foals

Michael Pittman Jr. has 28 catches for 293 yards, four touchdowns, and is average 10.46 yards per catch this season. Week 6 was quiet with only three targets from 20 yards, but that’s more of a blip than a trend. When the Colts move the ball, Daniel Jones seems to be finding him, and he remains the most trusted option in that offense. Its usage and track record make this the right time to buy while the numbers are looking down, because they won’t stay that way for long.

Travis EtienneRB, Jaguars

Travis Etienne has rushed 470 yards on 89 carries, averaging 5.28 yards per carry. of two touchdowns and added 13 catches for 69 yards and a landing. He has made his quietest outings in the past two weeks, but nothing has changed in his role. He still looks among them 54 and 66% of the snaps and has yet to dive down 15 touches in a game. The workload and efficiency are there, and the recent dip is matchup-driven and not usage-related. This is the kind of player contenders should buy now, before he gets back on track.

George PickensWR, Cowboys

George Pickens did that 32 catches on 48 targets for 525 yards and 6 touchdownsaverage 16.41 yards per catch. Since CeeDee Lamb went down, Pickens seems to have stepped into the role of one WR1but that will likely end once Lamb returns in Week 7. Before the injury, Pickens was average 6.5 goals per gameand that increased to almost nine per match in Lamb’s absence. The increase in volume has made him a weekly difference maker, but this is temporary. His production has blown up, and now it’s time to move him to a more consistent option before that window closes.

Ladd McConkeyWR, Chargers

Ladd McConkey does 28 catches for 313 yards and two touchdowns on 43 goals this season. He is playing his best game of the year and has now scored in consecutive weeks. This recent stretch came with Quentin Johnston on the sidelines and against a weak Miami defense that made almost every wideout look good. With Johnston returning from injury soon and set to return to the attack, now is the time to move on McConkey while others are still chasing his recent numbers.

MeijersWR, Raiders

Meyers has gone quiet, and the box score shows it. He’s had it for the past two weeks four targets for 39 yards every game and has not yet reached 40 meters in three straight pieces. He’s in for the season 43 targets, 29 catches, 329 yards and 0 touchdowns. Even with Brock Bowers off, the volume did not increase. Genos The poor quarterback play hasn’t helped him at all either. If anyone in your league remembers last year’s 1,027 yards and thinks a rebound is coming, move it now while the name still carries weight.

TJ HockensonTE, Vikings

Hockenson is steady, but not special. Over the course of six games, he gets caught 19 of 24 targets for 153 yards and one touchdownjust above average 25 yards per play. He is consistent in volume, but has not yet reached 49 yards in any match this season. His short-range usage keeps him involved, but also limits his lead. With the Vikings offense spreading the ball around and his name still strong, now is the time to move him before his quiet trajectory starts to undermine his trade appeal.

Isiah PachecoRB, chiefs

Pacheco again led Kansas City in rushing logging 12 carries for 51 yards while sharing time with Kareem Hunt. That workload is fine, but it’s clear that this hinterland is becoming a frustrating timeshare. Even as a lead back, Pacheco’s touches are capped, and so is his (4.2 yards per carry) This season doesn’t leave much room for upside. The Chiefs offense continues to rely heavily on the passing game, making Pacheco more of a role player than a difference maker. His touches and spacing seem steady enough to sell, but the ceiling just isn’t there. Now is the time to move him while the box scores still look respectable, before the backfield rotation further consumes his production.

That has been completed Week 6. The season is starting to reveal who is real and who is just flashing for a week or two. The key is to stay ahead and not chase last week’s points. Buy the steady risers, sell the inflated names and keep piling gains.

Win now, brag later.
