The Bucs are 1-3 in their last four games as they don’t play any defense. During this period, head coach Todd Bowles’ team has given up 96 points in three losses. Tampa Bay ranks in the bottom half of the league in overall defensive EPA and they give up the sixth-most yards per pass attempt (7.7). Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey remains on injured reserve and linebacker Hasson Reddick (ankle/knee) was recently demoted to out. Cornerback Jamel Dean (hip) is also sidelined. Luckily for the Bucs, quarterback Baker Mayfield is playing great and they are scoring 25.2 points per game. They have achieved at least 20 points in all but one of 2025.

Tampa Bay’s defensive woes don’t bode well heading into a matchup with a high-powered Los Angeles offense. QB Matthew Stafford, 37, is still playing at an MVP level. He boasts a ridiculous 27-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio this season, along with 2,557 yards and a 66.0 completion percentage. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams are arguably the best receiver duo in football, so the Rams will be tough to stop on Sunday night.

Williams may not necessarily be a pass-catching running back, but he might be in this particular game. Tampa Bay’s defense has surrendered the most receiving yards in the entire NFL to opposing running backs (596). No other team has allowed more than 485.

This isn’t a big number at all, and it’s one that Williams has exceeded five times this year. That includes Week 5, when the former Notre Dame standout caught eight of 10 targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns against San Francisco.
