The Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the diminutive Cleveland Cavaliers 118-116 to earn their fifth win in six games on Wednesday night.
Kevin Porter Jr. had 20 points and Ryan Rollins added 18 for the Bucks.
Cleveland appeared to tie it on Jarrett Allen’s basket underneath at the buzzer, but time was ruled to have expired.
Allen led the Cavs with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Dennis Schroder had 26 points, his highest in nine games after the trade.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers were playing without James Harden after he broke his right humerus in a home win over the Knicks on Tuesday night, while Donovan Mitchell (right groin strain) and Evan Mobley were also out.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his 13th straight game due to a strained right calf.
Jaylon Tyson pulled the Cavaliers to 116-114 with two free throws after Kyle Kuzma missed a three-pointer.
Schroder scored from the right side of the court to tie the score at 116 with 35.6 seconds left, and Porter hit a jumper at the free throw line to put the Bucks ahead 118-116 with 20.2 seconds left.
The Cavaliers lost for the second time in ten games and dropped to fourth place in the Eastern Conference, half a game behind the Knicks.
Both teams play Friday night: the Cavaliers in Detroit, while the Bucks host the Knicks.
