An excellent second-half performance saw Manchester United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1 at Molineux on Monday.
It was the visitors who took the lead through Bruno Fernandes, but their joy did not last long as the home team equalized just before half-time.
Ruben Amorim’s half-time team talk seemed to have fired up the Red Devils, who came forward with purpose in the second half. It didn’t take long for them to regain the lead as Bryan Mbeumo returned to the scoring.
Goals from Mason Mount and a penalty from the captain provided assurance as the away side climbed to sixth in the Premier League.
Bryan Mbeumo had little confidence in recent matches
The Cameroonian, who had scored five times and provided one assist in the first eleven league games, had played three games without contributing goals after the November international break.
He also started slowly against Wolves, often getting caught with the ball, while generally appearing lacking in confidence.

But the head coach’s pep talk must have worked for the ex-Brentford ace as he was much more excited for the battle in the second 45 minutes.
In addition to the goal, he also contributed three important passes, while also making four passes into the final third. He had a total of four shots in the match, all of which got the keeper working.
Rediscovered his scoring boots
The Cameroon international received the ball in the opponent’s penalty area five times and successfully dribbled past his man once.
The 26-year-old also worked hard defensively, making a total of ten defensive contributions. He completed three tackles, while also recovering the ball seven times.
United’s number 19 won six of his matches (all statistics via photomob), and his return to goal-scoring ways will keep Amorim happy ahead of the key match against Bournemouth on Monday.
The 20-time English league champions will certainly miss his goals and his partnership with Amad when the duo head to AFCON sometime next week.
