Captain Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United delivered an impressive performance on Saturday during the 5-0 victory of Portugal on Armenia in a world cup qualification on Saturday.
The 30-year-old has had a mixed start of the new campaign with the Red Devils, but he was brilliant for Roberto Martinez’s side against Armenia on the road.
Fernandes did not deliver a target contribution in the 5-0 routine, but he agreed the woodwork. He was heavily involved in 62 touches and a transient accuracy of 89 percent.

The Red Devils are confronted with Manchester City in the Etihad Stadium on 14 September. Only six days later they play hosts to Chelsea, which they have not defeated since 2023.
It is a discouraging list for United. Despite adding quality to their attack, Fernandes could play a major role with his creativity from the number eight position.
Fernandes must also improve his positional consciousness in his new role in the future. He has already lost this term 15 times, which is incredibly high.
