Brookdale Johnny tops Tuesday

SUMMER SIDE, PE – The curtain rises on another Tuesday night of racing at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway with a 13-dash program starting at 6 p.m., culminating in a high $5,100 pace in Race 12.

On the playing field, Brookdale signs Johnny post 4 fresh after a series of consistent efforts for trainer Phil Sizer and driver Paul Langille. Owned by Doug Polley Jr., and Doug Polley Sr., of Amherst, NS, the six-year-old son of Rocking in heaven has put together a solid campaign in 2025 in the island’s top pace classes. Langille will look to put together a winning trip for the $156,000 career earner after suffering similar defeats in three of his last four starts.

Sauble Attack have the outpost 5 ahead of driver Ken Murphy and trainer Paul Biggar after disrupting last week’s main event with a thrilling finish in 1:55.

Doc Awesome will line up from post 2 with Corey MacPherson at the controls for trainer Darla MacEachern. The All Bets Off gelding continues to rack up strong mileage, including five consecutive top three finishes.

Also in the field are newcomer PL Quicksand (managed by Brady Sweet) and Middleton Terror (David Dowling).

The Backstretch Beat sees Brookdale Johnny as the one to beat.

“Brookdale Johnny has been a regular in Summerside’s top events all season and is well placed to add another win to his CV. Paul Langille knows exactly how to handle him and his recent lines include sharp final quarters and solid 1:55 performances, proving he is right where he needs to be in terms of form.”

As the 2025 season enters its final stages as the season is scheduled to conclude on November 11, David Dowling continues to lead all Summerside drivers with 55 wins and over $210,000 earned, with a .412 UDRS average.
