In an announcement on Thursday, the companies said that these relocation brokers and MLSs throughout the country offers the first uniform “one-to-many” entry and compliance solution. According to the release, the joint venture gives agents and brokers access to more powerful tools to manage and analyze offers, to stimulate affiliated service activities and serve customers.
“From the start, Ocusell’s mission was to offer interoperability and connectedness to the MLS landscape and to offer brokers the centralized control over their mentions,” said Hayden Rieveschl, the CEO and founder of Ocusell. “This is an industry that has long been very fragmented. Seventy percent of brokers are members of two or more MLSs – it’s a big hairy problem.”
The first tools planned by the joint venture will be aimed at broker and MLS needs, such as solving challenges that arise from doing business in multiple markets and on multiple MLS platforms with different rules. Products and tools offered by the joint venture is expected to be available before the end of the year.
“I am really enthusiastic about these two companies that come together with different approaches of what they do, with the same purpose and outcome in mind, to help brokers to reduce their pain points and to offer consumers a better real estate experience,” said Brian Donnellan, the CEO of Bright MLS.
To simplify the entries in several MLSs, the Joint Venture Ocusell’s List+ will include Bright’s Listing Manager, which is part of the newly launched Bright Solutions Suite.
“We come together so that we can take advantage of the market we have now,” said Donnellan.
Rievesschl added: “We want MLSs to be able to pay these possibilities of any size and without this JV it would not be possible. With the JV it is possible for everyone to achieve the purpose of interoperability and that is a huge part of our overall value proposition and why it is so important to us to work together.”
Looking ahead, the companies said they are planning to develop new analyzes, data management and compliance product functions through the joint venture.
