The American Supreme Court allowed the Trump government on Monday to continue a plan to dismantle the Ministry of Education.
In March, President Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the Ministry of Education.
“We have to remove the federal government from education,” said Trump. “The Ministry of Education has become a bloated bureaucracy that is more interested in pushing his own agenda than in helping our children to learn. It is time to bring the power back into the hands of parents, teachers and local communities.”
In May, a federal court blocked the Trump government to dismantle the Ministry of Education.
The American district judge Myong Joun, a Biden -appointed, has issued an order that the Trump administration is blocking to cover employees of the Ministry of Education.
“This case stems from an attempt by defendants to close the department without approval of the congress,” the judge wrote.
Judge Joun ordered the Trump government to restore the Ministry of Education.
The Trump DOJ appealed against the order of Judge Jous and the first Circuit Court of Appeals refused their request for an immediate administrative stay.
On Monday, the American Supreme Court allowed Trump to continue with mass dismissals at the Ministry of Education in a 6-3 decision.
Liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor rumbled in her different opinions.
“This case stems from the unilateral efforts of the president to eliminate an agency at the level of cabinet that was founded by the congress almost half a century ago: the Ministry of Education,” Sotomayor wrote.
