Jack della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev is official!
After having let enthusiastic Vecht fans wait 10 hours, Dana White Finally announced via Instagram That on Saturday, November 15, ‘JDM’ will set its middleweight world championship against the former lightweight King at UFC 322. The event will come from the most famous arena in the world, Madison Square Garden.
It will be the first time that Della Maddalena has defended the 170-pound Kroon since the struggle of the Weight of Belal Muhammad in May.
Literally hours after the belt was wrapped around the waist of the Aussie, Makhachev revealed that he would leave his lightweight title to go up a weight class and challenge ‘JDM’ for his newly obtained gold.
But white was not ready there.
Shevchenko vs. Zhang joins ‘JDM’ vs. Makhachev on UFC 322
The UFC -CEO also revealed that Zhang Weili left her ladies’ straw in an attempt to go and re -challenging reigning flying weight Queen, Valentina Shevchenko. It will have been the second defense of Shevchenko since recovering the crown through a dominant five-round version against Alexa Grasso on UFC 306. In May, ‘Bullet’ defeated Manon Fiorot and immediately welcomed a potential champion versus champion conflict against Zhang.
With ‘Magnum’ remotely from the Strom weight title, White confirmed that a new champion will be crowned on October 25 at UFC 321 when the top candidate of the division, Virna Jandiroba, is confronted with BJJ Sensation Mackenzie Dern.
Also on the tap on UFC 322 is a high-stakes Welterweight showdown between former title holder Leon Edwards and Fighting Nerds Fan Favorite Carlos Prates.
