A former greens candidate who was seriously injured as he was arrested on Friday during a protest in Sydney, was accused of hindering or resisting a police officer in the performance of their duty and refusing or not complying with a direction to spread.

Hannah Thomas, 35, was admitted to the hospital on Friday with a serious eye injury after he was arrested at a pro-Palestinian protest in Belmore, in southwestern Sydney.

Her lawyer told the ABC on Saturday that she is in the risk of losing sight of her right eye.

Mrs. Thomas is the fifth person who is being charged because of the protest that took place outside of Secplating, a company that the demonstrators say that components are supplied by F-35-Jets, the class of Jets flew by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
