Joshua, a two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, will face Paul after Paul’s previously scheduled fight against Gervonta “Tank” Davis was canceled.
The fight card between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua has been officially booked for December 19 in Miami, Florida, and will air live on NetFlix.

I: There’s another heavyweight fight this month: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul on December 19 in Miami. How will that fight go?
BG: It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t have signed some kind of caveat. Let’s look at it coldly: how does Joshua get matched with this man? Look what Joshua did to Francis Ngannou – a giant of a man, built like a tank, who went twelve rounds with Tyson Fury, dropped him and gave him hell – and Joshua blasted him in a few rounds.
Then you think: Tommy Fury has defeated Jake Paul. So, how is Jake Paul going to get through Joshua? It almost seems ridiculous – so ridiculous that it’s hard to believe there isn’t an agreement that says, “I’m not going with you.”
I’m not saying that’s the case; only that if he looks at it, he could be seriously injured. Joshua is in a different league. Paul goes from fighting journeymen to fighting Anthony Joshua? What’s going on?
But does he really want to risk his life? Anthony Joshua hits a normal man on the street, it would knock him out cold. I’m not saying Jake Paul is “normal,” but he’s not a heavyweight. He’s more of a cruiserweight.
Look at his performances. It looked like Mike Tyson was just messing with him – and Tyson was about 58 years old. And all boxers know what will happen in December.
I don’t hate anyone. Jake Paul is a great character and has a huge fan base, but if everything is at the same level, he runs the risk of getting seriously injured. Therefore, it is difficult to believe that there is no secret agreement.
Of course, they must have said something like, “I’ll take it easy, I’ll miss with shots, I won’t load.” Because if Joshua hits him one time in the right spot, he can break his jaw, knock him unconscious and leave him in a bad state.
When that happens, it becomes a freak show. Anyone with any sense knows that if Joshua hits him like he hit Francis Ngannou, he’ll beat him up next week. That’s what I can’t wrap my head around.
