Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori continued their career-best season on Sunday afternoon at the Mubadala Citi DC Open, where they conquered their fourth title of 2025.

The Italian top seeds defeated Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-3, 6-4 in the champion competition, which add a seventh trophy to their impressive partnership. The first Lexus ATP Head2head collision between the two teams was suspended for rain with Bolelli and Vavassori who led 2-0 in the second set, and they returned two hours later to end the job.

“Thanks to my partner,” said the 39-year-old. Bolelli. “He is a great player, we are friends, and he adds to my career for years … We really enjoyed this week in Washington, we played four games with some great support. We try to do our best every week.”

Vavassori added: “Thanks to Simone. We have been together for two and a half years. It is great to have a friend to travel, prepare the work and play the matches. It’s great for me and we will continue in Toronto next week.”

Bolelli and Vavassori, who, according to Infosys ATP statistics, won 87 percent (33/38), joined Infosys ATP statistics at Wimbledon champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool as the only team that claimed four titles this year. The Italians are number 5 in the Pif ATP Live Doubles teams ranking after they made their team debut last year at the Nitto ATP Finals.
