Blue Jays announces Spring Training schedule

The Blue Jays announced their Spring Training schedule on Wednesday afternoon. It features 28 matches from late February to late March, a tune-up match against a national team and the third annual Spring Breakout.

The Blue Jays’ first Spring Training game is on February 21 against the Philadelphia Phillies. They will play four split-squad games, their first on February 25 against the Detroit Tigers. They also play the New York Yankees and Phillies on February 28, the Tigers and Baltimore Orioles on March 8 and the Yankees on March 19.

The Blue Jays will play an exhibition game against Team Canada on March 3. This comes two days before the start of the World Baseball Classic, with Canada in a group against Colombia, Panama, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Canada’s first match is March 7 at 11 a.m. ET against Colombia.

Towards the end of Spring Training, the Blue Jays will participate in the third annual Spring Breakout, this time against the Phillies on March 21. There’s a good chance this will be the first time we see JoJo Parker in action, the Blue Jays’ first-round pick in the 2025 draft.

The final game of the season for the Blue Jays is on March 22 against the Tampa Bay Rays. The real action begins four days later when the Blue Jays open the season against the Athletics on March 26. It’s an easy start to the season at home against the Athletics and Colorado Rockies before heading to Chicago to take on the White Sox.
