The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a Seven -year contract extension With Forward Frank Nazar, with an average annual value (AAV) slightly less than $ 6.6 million. Frank Seravalli broke the news for the first time, while Elliote Friedman hinted that a deal was close by.
Friedman noted that the extension would fall somewhere above $ 6 million AAV, with a few “sources that indicate that it will be the biggest contract ever signed by an attacker during his experience (56 games).”

The move is a daring who entails any risk. At the same time, Nazar is one of the smartest young talents of the team, and he is now locked up in a deal that both parties wear through the 2031-32 season. It makes Nazar one of the few Blackhawks under contract after 2027-28, alongside Alex Vlasic and Ryan Donato.
Is Nazar broken into like a Blackhawks star?
Nazar has already demonstrated dynamic skills, even with its limited NHL experience. It is fast, can easily wear the puck and is a playmaker. The idea that he plays in addition to a locked Connor asset is exciting for fans.
It is reasonable to claim that his Rookie figures do not necessarily justify this type of extension, but the current NHL -Salariscap landscape has teams that bet in potential. GM Kyle Davidson clearly believes that the individual play and offensive benefit of Nazar will pay dividends in the long term.
After only 56 career games, the Blackhawks have a chance to win a potential star. The hope is that the team will see the contract as a bargain in a few years.
The expansion comes while Nazar continues to draw attention to the international stage and joins Alex Vlasic in invited for the Olympic orientation camp of Team USA.
