David Feldman believes that BKFC will thrive in October on pay-per-view thanks to Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens.
Perry and Stephens are two remarkable names that once participated in the UFC banner. Although they fought two weight classes with the Top MMA Promotion during their time, they will fight each other on October 4. The Grudge Match is planned to head BKFC 82 in the Prudential Center in Newark.
A lot has been made about the future of combat sport events on PPV. The new deal of the UFC with Paramount will start the promotion ditch PPV from 2026. Although some boxing events remain on PPV, the majority of large shows are nowadays a streaming service such as Dazn or even Netflix.
So how is the BKFC 82 on PPV? Feldman, the founder of BKFC, said reporters that he will prove that the PPV model still works for his promotion (via Inappropriate).
“Timing is everything, with many people talking about the pay-per-view is dead. I don’t think it’s dead,” Feldman said. “I think you should set up a spectacle of an event to make people pay to see you, and I think this event on October 4 is that and more.
“You just saw this two animals that I have – Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens couldn’t already contain themselves. They can’t wait to beat each other, they can’t wait to hurt each other, they can’t wait to create violence on each other, and October 4 will happen.”
The BKFC 82 card will also contain the Combat Sports Return or Frankie Edgar. “The answer” has not participated in a price fight since 2022 and he will be faced with Jimmie Rivera. There will also be a title fight “Queen of Violence” between Christine Ferea and Jessica Borga, who once participated in the Bellator Banner.
