Johanna catches up with Lynne McGranger and Melissa goes to Peninsula Wildflower in Victoria.

This week on Better houses and gardens Johanna talks to Lynne Mcgranger about leaving the bay and touring inside The grandparents club.

Johanna – At home in a play with Lynne McGranger
After 30 years at home and gone, says Lynne McGranger, who plays the beloved dinner Queen, Irene Roberts, farewell to the bay for the last time. It is a huge moment in the history of Aussie TV and Catching Johanna’s with Lynne to find out how she feels about her curtain call, plus her big victory at this year’s accommodation. For her next act, Lynne goes back to where it all started – the stage. She plays the leading role in a new season of the Grandparents Club, a Feel-good theater show that tours the country. Lynne could not be happier about it and she takes us behind the scenes to give us an insider look.

Dr. Harry – Old Bindi the Birman Cat
They say that cats have nine lives, but Dr. Harry is about to meet one who has received a few more in her sleeve. Bindi de Birman is almost 21 years old, making her one of the oldest cats in the country. And although Bindi seems to be in pretty good health, there is a way in which she shows her age: she recently started sucking the stairs with her owner carpet. So what causes this behavioral change? And how can it be stopped? Dr. Harry is on the case.

Colin-with sausages filled onions
There are so many chic vegetables that are sometimes overlooked the modest onion. So this week Colin makes a dish that celebrates them. Filled with a mix of sausage meat, breadcrumbs, smoked bell pepper and herbs, onions have never tasted so well.

Charlie – Weather resistant winter space
If your deck is exposed to the elements, it can be quite unusable during the most popular and coldest months of the year. So how do you make your deck all year round in a livable space? This week Charlie shows us how. He changes the overexposed deck of a typical brick house from the 1950s into a contemporary outdoor space … and no demo is involved! By updating the balust ravage and adding a Louvre roof structure to the existing deck, he creates a space that looks brand new, without all the costs of a new build. Complete with some beautiful plants and outdoor furniture, the end result is an outdoor space where you can enjoy rain, hail or shine.

Melissa – Peninsula Wildflower Farm and Floral Art
Melissa has visited many beautiful flower farms over the years, but not as unique as this one. Peninsula Wildflower, on the Mornington protection, specializes in the growing iconic Australian native wild flowers and excellent proteas. Rather known as Bob’s Farm, new owners Dawn and Martin took over the 50 -hectare site about five years ago and continues his estate. Melissas meets them to find out more about their passion for Aussie -Ieemse flowers.

Adam – Parquetry -Table
Parquetry Floors radiates style and old -fashioned charm … But did you know that the same technology can also be used on furniture? Adam shows you how to make a Parquetry salon table with Tassie Oak and the completed result is a real showstopper.

Juliet – Lino Art
Controlling the art of cutting Lino is a bit like having your own personal printing press. Once you have cut your own designs in Linoleum, you can transfer them to everything from bedding to clothing, paper and more. Juliet shares the basics … and once you have mastered it, there is really no end to what you can make.

Adam – The power behind the broken stairs
There are so many benefits to life in a rural area or close to nature. But there are also a few disadvantages … As Adam is about to find out. He is in a hut on the river that has seen a good part of rain and floods and has spotty power to start up. Fortunately, he tests a portable power plant that will not only help with electricity in the cabin, but it will also feed its tools! And with his tools sorted, Adam shows us how we should repair the water-damaged cabin stairs and it is an easier task than you might think.

7 pm Friday at seven / 7TWO.
