Manchester United pulled off another Fergie time raid, this time away at West Ham United on Tuesday, as they came away from the London Stadium with a point.
The visitors were far from their best and struggled to create anything of note, with summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo unable to break the Hammers’ low block.
The side also look ill-equipped to deal with the pressure that comes with playing twice a week, with Michael Carrick’s blushes only spared by a stoppage-time equalizer from Benjamin Sesko.
“I’m happy with my finish, but not so happy with the draw!”

The Slovenian’s clever finish left United in fourth place in the Premier League.
Benjamin Sesko was disappointed with the result
Talk to TNT Sports after the match, the 22-year-old revealed he was delighted with his goal but disappointed with the result.
He explained that the Red Devils lacked intensity, which was the main reason for the disappointing performance.
“I’m happy with my finish, but yes, not so happy with the draw because I know we deserve the victory because we fought until the end.
“Unfortunately nowadays you have moments where you are a bit unlucky. Maybe the intensity wasn’t exactly what it should be. But yes, we were fighting. In the end we got a draw, which is very important.”
To collaborate
For many away fans it will almost feel like a victory, given the dramatic circumstances of the goal.
The former RB Leipzig striker also revealed that the camaraderie between the players and the desire to work as a unit has helped the team get over the line since Carrick came on board.
“We work together no matter what happens. Whether we are behind, whether we are in front, it doesn’t matter because we are always fighting. As I said again, today it was important to get this draw because it was a difficult match for us.”
“They were dangerous on the counter-attack when they took a ball away. But yes, we managed to finish with one ball. We feel great. We do everything together. When difficult moments come, we go for it together, which is very important and can lead to the results like now.”
Now to get back to winning ways
The Slovenian international went on to explain that some more energy and focus will be needed for the team to return to action once they return to action in two weeks’ time.
“I think we just have to continue like we did in the last games. We just have to keep in mind that we have to breathe for each other, and we have to be careful in every single situation, every second of the game, to be focused, to be on point, and of course when the opportunities arise to finish them.”
