Ben Simmons seems to be better forcing himself in basketball than his value.
According to NBA Hall of Fame writer Marc Stein, Simmons rejected an offer from the Knicks, which can only collect an experienced minimum contract – with a value of more than $ 3 million – given their CAP situation.
With four years of ugly evidence – including injuries, inactivity, shaken trust and uninspired basketball – it is unlikely that Simmons has more than a minimum contract, especially at this late stage of the free agency.
Speaking of the post, a competition source even denied that the Knicks made an offer to Simmons, 29, which was once considered a non-Miss superster, but now asks if he wants to play in the NBA next season.
His agent, Bernie Lee, recently dropped Simmons as a customer, according to Stein.
A source said that decision took place after Simmon’s signals had sent that he was not interested in everything that was generated from his agent’s conversations with the Knicks.
The Celtics were reportedly also fond of Simmons, whose career was named completed by former All-Star Point Guard Jeff Teague.

“It’s over. It’s over, Bro,” Teague said on his podcast, “Club 520.” “You will see him when he was playing, he can’t move anymore. … He runs like his back. He is injured.”
Despite the abundance of recent issues with Simmons -including back operations and an accumulation of fines for refusing to play for the 76ers -the Knicks were interested because of his advantage as an elite defender and athlete to fill their backuppoint Guard spot, a competition source said.
The Knicks have one salary slot open for a veteran and Landry Shamet is considerably considered. The Twee-Guard, who conquered a separate shoulder last season to crack the play-off rotation of the Knicks, worked as an unpaid photographer at the US Open in Queens.
Shamet works in New York while he hopes to draw again at the Knicks, according to the AP. He is close to Knicks Wing Mikal Bridges, who has just inked a long -term extension with the Knicks.
The Knicks have had contact with representatives for Malik Beasley, but it is unclear whether the sniper – who played for the pistons last season – is confronted with punishment of the competition based on a federal gambling probe. He is a long chance to draw with the knicks.
Malcolm Brogdon, the veteran -Point Guard, is another name to look at.
