The outside of this Neo-grec from the 1870s has been restored and the interior of the two-family still retains a few period details, including marble mantels, wooden floors and an original staircase. On 330 Stuyvesant Avenue, the 20-foot-wide Brownstone is located in the Bedford Stuyvesant/extensive Stuyvesant Heights Historic District.
It is one of a row of five two-storey-plus candidate Brownstones designed by architect Robert Dixon. Plans for the row were submitted in 1878 By owner and builder P. Mullady. The powerful neo-grece details of the house can be seen in the Circa 1940 tax photoand LPC -permits show one Approval 2018 For façade work, which included the re -emergence of the brownstone façade and the replacement of deteriorated and missing elements from the cornice.
The need for façade work could be seen in the listing photos when the building was an open house of Brownstoner in 2016. The house sold that year for $ 1.62 million.
By going the old list, it does not seem that the layout has been major changes in the layout. There is a studio rental at the garden level with a duplex with two bedrooms above. Just like the earlier offer, the current one does not show a view of the bathrooms; There is one complete bath in each unit.
In the top duplex, the front salon has wooden floors, a ceiling medallion, a marble cloak and later wall lists. Pocket doors lead to the dining room, which is open to the adjacent kitchen.
The kitchen has received a few updates since the house was on the market for the last time. An island that distributes the dining room and the cooking space has been replaced by a wooden table. The range is different and a large fridge is next to the marble cloak in the dining room.
Up the stairs with a curved rail and a coffin corner are front and rear bedrooms with a walk-in closet and a complete bath in between. A narrow and focused former bedroom is set up as a walk -in closet, but can be reused if more bedrooms were needed. There is a full laundry room at the back.
The studio at garden level has a living space that is large enough for a sitting and sleeping area. A curved doorway leads to a kitchen. A small mud room has a door to the back garden.
That garden looks like it can use some TLC, but it has a pergola on a paved patio and plant beds with a tree, shrubs and perennials.
Mentioned with Lucien Perry from Lucien Perry Real Estate, the house asks $ 2,395 million. What do you think?
