A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) bron has a definitive judgment about the participation of the India National Cricket Team captain Suryakumar Yadav in the Asia Cup 2025.
The Asia Cup 2025 is planned to be played in the United Arab Emirates (VAE) from 9 to 28 September in two different locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The men in blue enter the Asia Cup 2025 as one of the hot favorites to lift another trophy. India is located in group A next to Pakistan, Oman and De Vae in the Asia Cup, while group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

The Asian heavyweights lock Hoorns with the United Arab Emiraten (VAE) on 10 September before he will take on Arch rivials Pakistan on September 14, and then their last group game is against Oman against Oman on September 19.

There were some doubts about the participation of Suryakumar Yadav in the Asia Cup 2025 because of his recent operation. He underwent an operation for a belly with Hernia in the bottom right in Munich, Germany, in June after his Stint in IPL and Mumbai T20 League.
The India T20i skipper then traveled to the Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru for his rehabilitation and has now received a clean chit from the medical team to participate in the tent tournament.
“He has cleaned up his fitness and will be available for the Indian team during the Asia Cup. He was at De Coe a few days ago, where he underwent a rehabilitation program and has now been declared suitable. He will attend the Indian team selection meeting,” a board of control for cricket told the Indian Express.
There were some reports that claimed that Shubman Gill India could lead in the Asia Cup 2025 if Suryakumar Yadav was unsuitable, but those reports have now been shot.

Is Suryakumar Yadav’s T20i a concern?
Former World No.1 T20i Batteryakumar Yadav looked in an exceptional form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for the five -fold champions.
He showed unreal consistency and scored 25-plus in all competitions. Suryakumar finished the season with 717 runs on an average of 65.18 and a success rate of 167.91.
However, his last T20i numbers have not been very good. He last scored a fifty against Bangladesh on October 12, 2024, and since then he has had a lean patch of 9 consecutive games.
