Hello everyone,
I am happy to announce two important promotions in the Barron newsroom.
Deputy editors Alex Eule And Ben Levisohn are promoted to senior managing editors, immediately in force. They are doing Lauren Runlin As top editors, a strong and completed team to help us with the future.
The promotions recognize their hard work and dedication, including innovations to keep relevant in the coming years. Alex will help us map our future in our growing number of newsletters. He will continue to supervise technology and coverage for healthcare, together with research. Ben is a crucial leader in our Morning Digital News report and leads our drive to improve our offer for stock market investors.
Ben came to Barron in 2012. He started as a blogger and columnist of emerging markets before he took on the shares to view blog and write the Streetwise column. He later contributed to various other columns, including the Trader and Up & Down Wall Street, and wrote functions and cover stories before he became an editor.
Ben’s connection with the publication goes back to the late 1990s when he was a stock dealer in Wall Street. His boss would have everyone on the trade floor grab a copy of Barron’s to come up with ideas for Monday. Between his time on Wall Street and at Barron’s, consisted of financial markets for the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Businessweek. If he does not work, Ben likes to play the guitar and bass, experiments with synthesizers and spends time with his family in Prospect Park.
Since joining Barron’s in 2006, Alex has blogged, hosted, written and edited cover stories, picked shares, profiled CEOs, new verticals and newsletters launched, our technical reporting supervised and led award -winning studies. Some of his cover stories are warning investors about the 3-D print bubble in 2014 and identifying the New possibilities for Microsoft In 2015. He still creates and leads Barron’s first narrative newsletter, Review & Preview, which has won three Sabew Awards.
As an editor, Alex also worked to bring our stories to a broader basis of readers, and reinforced Barron’s research carbonades, through stories about gambling addiction, opioids, annuities and other topics of the business accountability. The stories of his team have won three SAWEN Awards in the past year.
Lauren, as you all know, is a talented and highly respected Barron’s veteran, who deals with economic coverage, round tables, Q & AS, and much more. Work closely with Ben, Alex and all of you, she will lead the newsroom when I’m gone.
All three reports to me. Participate with me to congratulate.
Bobber
