As only reported a while ago, FC Barcelona considers their team almost completed for the 2025/26, without no new income being expected.

With regard to departure, there is still a possibility that one or two players can go further before the transfer window is closed.

Hector Fort and Inaki Pena belong to the Barcelona players who will leave this summer, but their future will remain unsolved.

Now, Sports world Reports that a crucial meeting is planned for Wednesday in Barcelona, where both Fort and Pena will sit with their agents to evaluate individual plans and determine the best way ahead.

Fort’s situation complicated by U20 World Cup

As mentioned earlier, the potential movement of Fort is complicated by the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Chile from 27 September to 19 October.

The young person is determined to participate in the World Cup. If he becomes a member of a Spanish club, they would be obliged to release him before the tournament. But if he transferred abroad, his participation would depend on the approval of his new club.

As such, an option is considered to stay in Barcelona until after the World Cup and to reassess his future as soon as the tournament ends – a scenario that could stimulate his profile, given the expected presence of scouts in Chile.

Nevertheless, Barcelona’s preference is that Fort is leaving this summer. He has several offers, including loans to smaller clubs where he could play regularly, and permanent transfers to more ambitious parties who are willing to invest in his development.

Pena’s future depending on Joan Garcia Registration

As far as Pena is concerned, his situation is easier than that of Fort. From now on he is the only goalkeeper who is registered with La Liga in the first team. If the season started today, he would start.

However, that will change as soon as Joan Garcia and/or Wojciech Szczesny are officially registered – a movement that will accelerate the exit of the Academy Graduate.

Barcelona acknowledges that last season was unfair for Pena and promised to facilitate his departure. As such, the Blaugrana Are open to let him leave as a free agent while retaining a percentage of a future sale.
