A number of Premier League stars have received nominations for Best Male Player of the Year during the Ballon d’Or Awards 2025.
Mo Salah is one of the favorites to claim the honor after enjoying a phenomenal season in which he registered 57 target involvement when Liverpool won the title. Reds teammates Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz and Virgil van Dijk have also been nominated.
New Arsenal Die Viktor Gyokeres, Declan Rice, Cole Palmer from Chelsea, and Manchester City Striker Erling Haaland are the other Premier League players who have been nominated for this year’s balloon d’Or.
In the meantime, England stars Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze and Leah Williamson were nominated for the Women’s Player of the Year. All three played an important role this summer in the Euro 2025 success in England, while Hampton and Bronze were the key to Chelsea’s Domestic Treble and Leeuweskapitein Williamson helped Arsenal to win the Women’s Champions League.
Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey, Steph Catley and Emily and Sandy Baltimore from Chelsea also received nominations.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony takes place on Monday, September 22, 2025.
