Bajaj Housing raises Rs 1,000 crore in bonds, business grows 24% in Q2

Bajaj Housing Finance has raised Rs 1,000 crore by selling bonds to institutional investors at a coupon of 6.95%.

The bonds, which are in the nature of non-convertible bonds, will be allotted on Monday and will mature on January 28, 2028, after two years, three months and 15 days, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Monday. The bonds are placed privately.

The company said the first interest payment will be made on January 28, 2026, and annually thereafter. This is the lowest coupon the bank has raised through bond issuance since July.

Bajaj Housing Finance has successfully raised Rs 1,000 crore by selling bonds to investors. The company secured this financing at a coupon rate of 6.95%. These bonds are non-convertible bonds and mature in January 2028. This issuance marks the lowest coupon rate for the company’s bond sales since July.


The mortgage provider regularly uses the bond market for growth financing. In the second quarter, between July 1 and September 30, it raised a total of Rs 4,008 crore.

Assets under management stood at Rs 1.27 lakh crore at the end of September, reflecting a growth of 24% year-on-year. About Rs15,900 crore was disbursed in the second quarter, compared to Rs 12,014 crore in the same period a year ago.
