Automobili Pininfarina, the car racing of the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina, used the Monterey Car Week of this year to mark an important milestone: 95 years Pininfarina Design, also binding in the North American public debut of the 1-of-1 Battista Novacinque. Finished in Rosso Gloss-tinted carbon fiber, it is the last edition of the fully electric Hyper GT.
Shown on the concept of Gazon on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, this one -off car represents the end of the Battista production run and a tribute to almost a century of car reminder that started in 1930 in Turin. For those who are not aware, the Batista, named after founder Battista Pininfarina, the crown jewel of Automobili Pininfarina since the launch of 2019. Packing a Rimac-Sourced 120 kWh battery and four electric engines, which suggests it is one of the most powerful production cars today.
That figure brings it into conversation with other hyper-high EVs such as the Rimac Nevera and Lotus Eija, but with that typical and elegant Pininfarina styling. Where most electric vehicles have earned a reputation as soulless, you discover how the Battista stands out and in the emotional side in our Feature ExclusiveTalking with Brett David from Prestige Imports and Paolo Trevisan from Pininfarina. Automobili Pininfarina also organized a private pureritivo and dinner in Osteria Al Mare Restaurant, where CEO Paolo Dellachà spoke to a handful of customers and collectors.
“While we honor Pininfarina design for 95 years, the Battista Novantacinque represents the pinnacle of our craftsmanship – a pure expression of beauty, performance and individuality. Now production is complete, the status of Battista is like a real gathering grid, and we are looking forward to seeing it at future Pebble Beach, Cebalo, Cebalo, Cebe Beach, Pininfarina.
Now the question is, Where Is a hypercar like the Novantacinque in the hierarchy? Unlike Ferrari’s Limited-Run Monzas, every battista is tailored to its copper with virtually unlimited personalization options. So from the position of a collector, this means that no two examples are the same, which makes it difficult to follow the values in the short term. Long -term cars such as the Novantacinque, final, unique and bound to a milestone birthday, can recommend huge premiums.
But this year Pininfarina was not the only coachbuilder who made noise at Monterey. We saw Bugatti show his one-off Brouillard with customized carbon and tartan details, from the Solitaire program. Bentley combined his new EX -15 concept with a restored “Blue Train” speed six. Touring Superleggera unveiled the Veloce12 Barchetta, a naturally extracted V12 Roadster built in small songs. Members of the Supercar -owners Circle (SOC), Part of the Dupont Registry Group received an exclusive preview before its public debut.
Together these cars repeated how the long -term tradition of coachbuilding stays alive, even today, now again devised for the electric and hybrid era, and we can’t wait to see what Motobili Pininfarina has in store for Monterey next year.
