The most viewed properties of 2025 in every Australian city have been revealed
A luxury home released mid-trial by the embattled Outback Wrangler, the grand harborside estate of a media couple and a stone mansion with a retreat for lovers called The Doll’s House – the homes that went viral in 2025 were nothing if not diverse.
Australia’s fascination with luxury real estate and its owners showed little sign of slowing down. A prestigious 17-hectare estate in Adelaide crowned the most popular listing in all capital cities, with 73,548 views on realestate.com.au in the 12 months to October.
Manoah House was Adelaide’s most clicked listing
REA economist Eleanor Creagh said the listings with the most views were homes that people enjoyed looking at, rather than homes they were planning to buy.
“Real estate has become a national obsession, and scrolling through incredible properties is almost a hobby in itself,” says Creagh.
“Viral listings are often ambitious, with a wow factor or something unusual, whether it’s dramatic views, luxury prices, architectural design, large blocks or a property that feels more like a resort than a home.”
REA economist Eleanor Creagh said viral houses tend to be aspirational
Strong performing regions included lifestyle regions such as Adelaide Hills, Gold Coast and Brisbane’s eastern suburbs, along with prestigious inner Melbourne postcodes such as Toorak and South Yarra.
“A common thread is a sense of the unique and homes with scale and presence, whether it is a grand period property in a luxury suburb, a family estate with space for a swimming pool and tennis court, or a rural escape,” says Creagh.
“Although the properties themselves are quite diverse, they tend to stand out from the mundane and offer something distinctive that drives the eye.”

The unique property at 9 Manoah Dr, Upper Sturt, is known as Manoah House and was owned by family hotel operator Piermount, led by prominent publican Brett Matthews.
The Grade II listed stone mansion serves as headquarters for the owners, who also manage two popular short-term holiday homes from cottages on the property. These include ‘The Doll’s House’, a cozy retreat for couples, and ‘The Cottage’, former servants’ quarters given a luxurious makeover.
“Manoah House is such a beautiful property – one we would like to preserve for generations to come – but we are turning our focus to the hotels,” says marketing manager Chloe Matthews.
According to the listing, the 28-bedroom estate, which also included six rental units and stables, was the summer residence of former SA Attorney-General Sir Josiah Symon in the late 19th century.

Arts patron reduces asking price for South Yarra mansion
All eyes were also on Melbourne’s luxury scene, with top billing going to a mansion at 28 Marne St, South Yarra, with 61,337 views since last year.
The modern home behind a striking 1930s heritage facade, owned by arts patron Jennifer Shaw, whose family owned a Bourke St building that housed the Kozminsky jewelery store, has been on the market since February.
The initial asking price of $40 million-plus was reduced by $5 million two months later, but a buyer has still not been found for the chic five-bedroom property with a 12-car garage, a rooftop pool and a full recreation level with a gym, infrared sauna, steam room, home theater and billiards room.
Property watchers in the southern capital were more active than their counterparts in Sydney in 2025, with four other inner-city neighborhoods in Melbourne recording more clicks than Harbor City’s most popular property.
