In Ultra-Luxe apartments in cities around the world, the ultimate facilities for car collectors is a Sky garage. But so far no Australian building has talked – so far.
What if you got access to your car from the heart of your new apartment?
Forget walking to the parking garage of the basement. Inside luxury apartments, a Sky Garage Garage gives homeowners the convenience of access to their car from their home by using a high -tech lift lift.

It eliminates the need for traditional parking at basement or ground level for vehicles, instead the use of a car lift to transport the car and the owner to a private and integrated garage in their apartment.
The concept takes a simple way of transport and transforms it into the ultimate status symbol for car enthusiasts, which changes vast apartments in showrooms for the most expensive assets of the homeowner.
It is the kind of futuristic facility that you would expect from a James Bond film or even the Batcave, but the concept has been made popular all over the world by various developers.
The Porsche Design Tower in Miami is perhaps one of the most famous examples.
The “Dezervator” of the tower is a lift with glass carberarios that transports residents and their cars to their apartments. The development is 195 meters long, and contains 132 apartments, each with their own private -s -garage.
Further north in New York City, 200 eleventh Avenue was one of the first developments in the city with Sky Garages, with the function of people such as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who belong to one of the inhabitants of this elite building.

In Singapore, Hamilton Scotts is a different development using the facility with a system that lifts cars directly to a glass enclosed garage next to the living room of each apartment.
Now in Melbourne, Growland has brought this extreme status symbol to Australia with Neue Grand, a new apartment complex that delivers large on luxury functions.
Neue Grand is located on St Kilda Road and has 18 homes on the entire floor with an uninterrupted view over the skyline of the city and Port Phillip Bay.
Each apartment comes with its own sky garage.
According to the developer, the design and technology is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Here the concept is a German-designed parking system that transfers each vehicle of the basement level directly in private homes via a high-speed lift.
These celestial garages have an automated sliding mechanism that moves the vehicle in place in the apartment.
With the design, two vehicles can also be displayed in the glass that has been tapped, adjacent to the lounge.

Another nod to its luxury, each of the 335mmm’s homes of Neue Grand has natural stone, wood, leather and adapted details. Every house is also privately accessible via a secure lift lobby.
Neue Grand completed construction in April 2025 and offered five remaining homes.
Although Neue Grand perhaps draws attention to this unique garage function, this is not the only new development that has recognized the attraction.
In Brisbane there is another development of Sky Garages. The Moray house of Spyre Group in New Farm is a limited collection of six apartments along the River Brisbane.
The development has two apartments with this luxurious function. Residents will be able to pull out of Moray Street, enter a remote -controlled car lift and drive into their garage in their apartments.
“The Sky Garage will rely on luxury vehicle enthusiasts who want privacy, as well as the extra security of guaranteeing their car in their apartment instead of using regular basement parking,” said Spyre Group Director Andrew Malouf.
These are perhaps the first new builds to take on the position, but will the trend get started? Melbourne and Brisbane jumped on the Sky Garage -Bandwagon. What do you say, Sydney?
