Yesterday at Ausbiz with Juliette Saly I discussed why record -high markets can cause more risks than opportunities. Although the Boom Artificial Intelligence (AI) has driven enthusiasm, I have warned that valuations in the wider market are now at unprecedented levels, whereby all companies are effectively priced as winners – something that shows history, is untenable.

I have also noted that global liquidity has fueled an increase in alternative assets from Pokémon maps to fine wine, but this liquidity cycle will be tighter because the debts of debts will be refinanced in the coming years. That is why I think it is important for investors to reinstalled by introducing alternatives (such as private credit or market -neutral funds) to create more resilient portfolios.
