An expert has warned caravan owners of a “simple” trick that can be used as thieves try to steal items from their van.
Luke Weber, owner of affordable caravans service & repairs that Vans sells and repairs, said Yahoo News That the tactic is used to lock travelers in their caravans.
Mr. Weber explained the outlet a ‘crazy story’ of a customer who revealed that they had stolen their camping equipment for them by the cunning act.
The thieves used a piece of paper to eliminate the locking lock on their caravan door.
In the inside, the travelers apparently could do nothing but see how their possessions were taken from them.

According to Yahoo, a majority of the caravan doors that were made from 2000 has a final mechanism with a lock. The lock had to look outside to open the door.
A metal ring that is also found on the door handle – which is used to hook the door when needed – can be used to prevent the door from being opened.
In a recent video, MR Weber demonstrated the trick with a piece of paper that can be used to block the space where the lock is falling out, so that the system cannot unlock.
“It is very, very simple and it will lock people,” Mr Weber explained to Yahoo News.
“I have been repaired for a long time and it has been known for a long time that a thief can simply use a sheet of paper or even sticky tape to prevent those doors from opening.
“It is such a common problem, people get their equipment stolen in the middle of the night.
“People even get their barbecues and their refrigerators …
“They just have to sit in the caravan until it is over and then climb a window or something.”

Mr Weber explained that there is an “easy solution” to prevent them from being locked in a caravan
“It’s an easy solution, you just take out the small metal ring where people put the paper,” he said.
“It just clicks on and you can put it in your caravan and the problem is solved.”
Removing the metal ring, which serves as a functional hook to keep the door open, has no influence on the locking mechanism of the door. That is why caravanners can still secure themselves safely.
