Aston Villa winners and losers of FPL Gameweek 7: Donyell Malen hits form

The Premier League is back after the international break and brings back the FPL, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Aston Villa were not the most productive team for players in the official Fantasy Premier League fixture and were blank week after week at the start of the season. Slowly but surely they are starting to contribute.

As you prepare your team squad for another gameweek, here’s your delayed look back at GW7 and the fate of the Villa players within it.

Aston Villa FPL top scorers in GW7

Donyell Malen scored a dazzling double in Villa’s victory against Burnley, their second Premier League victory in a row.

The 0.7% of players who had Malen in their team were treated to 15 points, the highest return of any Villa player this season.

Teammate Morgan Rogers was still in 5.3% of the selections and rewarded the faithful with five points, as did Boubacar Kamara.

The French midfielder was selected by just 0.2% of players and was among the lowest in the Villa squad.

At the other end of the spectrum, England defender Ezri Konsa was in more than one in ten teams, Ollie Watkins in 9.0% of squads.

AVF FPL update GW7

Gary James achieved a whopping 97 points to remain comfortably at the top of the AVF competition thanks to big wins from captain Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo, Jurrien Timber and Mohammed Kudus.

Adam Karam took the second highest total with 88 and in third place in GW7 I was, well. That brought my team to 55th place and I am very happy.

Back to top, Warren Torch comes second and the top five is completed by Hitesh Patel, Wayne Barnard and Adeseye Michael.

63 points in favor Debbie Mortimer has reshaped the bottom five, but there is no change in last place, where James Brownrigg has work to do to climb off the base of the table.
