Aston Villa has held conversations with Chelsea about a potential deal to sign Nicolas Jackson.
The Unai Emery team has had a quiet start of the transfer window, but the £ 43 million sale of Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle United has provided money. Ramsey completed his move to Newcastle this weekend, with the sale of the Academy graduate who stimulated the PSR function of the club.
Jackson is a player of interest, in which Emery worked together with the Senegalese striker at former club Villarreal.
Chelsea will consider offers for the 24-year-old, after the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer. A high appreciation can lead to Villa looking at alternative goals, but Sky Sports reports that the first conversations have taken place.
Villa wants to bring in a center-forward to compete with Ollie Watkins. Both Donyell Malen and Evann Guess and can deputize centrally, but are mainly wide forward.
Bayern Munich has also ‘collected information’ about the circumstances of a deal for Jackson, but it is unlikely that it will be a deal. Instead, the German champions are aimed at signing the Chelsea teammate of the attacker, Christopher Nunku.
Jackson came to Chelsea from Villarreal for a fee of £ 32 million in 2023. He scored 30 goals in 81 performances for the West Londers and last season helped the Success of the Europa Conference League.
