Here the couple discusses all things fitness and bodybuilding on their latest Q&A from social media.
What do you think of all these new divisions in Bodybuilding?
I think it’s great. It gives other athletes the opportunity to compete who might be intimidated in the beginning. More athletes have the chance to compete, so I’m completely in favor of it.
What is the blueprint for success as a competitor?
One, be relentless. You just have to continue, no matter what happens, keep up to work on, go back to scoops, repair it and come back. I will avoid extremes when needed, which means that training is smarter, not more difficult, often, there is also the key to.
Can you tell us briefly about the supplements that you now take through HITECH, and do you have a favorite?
My favorite is the precision protein for a long time. I use protein for more than just shakes … Creatinemonohydrate has been so useful, especially for recovery, the glutamine too, and a pre -training is always welcome and useful, especially on the days that I feel slow.
Do you use precision protein to the day of the show, or do you cut it out?
I use it almost until the day of the show. I tried to keep it in a few times, and it had no negative effect – it didn’t seem to affect me really negatively. “
What is your motivation and mentality that goes to this year’s Olympia?
This year I feel absolutely much more busy just because I finished second last year … I will say that it is good for me, such as, I am the tendency to do well under pressure – I always put pressure under pressure.
What is your plan to be prepared for Olympia in the coming eight weeks?
Ashley: “I like to keep my outdoor season a little slimmer, because it is predictable for me when I go to the peak – I still have some work to do, especially for Olympia. I like to be extra prepared. Now that we are getting closer to the show, I have to put the pedal to the metal so it is time.
How do you care if you don’t know exactly who you will compete against?
I always just try to bring what I know is my best. When I compete all year round, I get feedback from judges, and I listen to what they have to say … Every judge said: ‘Keep everything as it is and bring it to Olympia.
Would you ever jump in a different division, such as fitness or wellness?
There was a time when I had the idea to do fitness, but the physique would be the one who would get me. A more realistic option for me, namely fitting the model … but that is not on my radar.
How do you choose a suit and do you have a package sponsor?
Angel Competition bikinis does my suits. My go to colors are usually green or red … I love green because it is a little less common and I can get it done. It is my look color, because I have worn that since I became pro.
What would you recommend for someone who is getting ready for a bikini show to cardio?
Start slowly, as if there is no advantage to go zero to 100, because your body will simply adapt to the cardio faster. I will use an example for myself. Next week I will start with cardio, so I start a day 30 minutes, and week two, I do it twice a week … that’s how I do it.
