Arsenal want to outdo Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to sign Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport via Tuttojuve.
After moving to Turin as a free agent from Bayern Munich in 2022, the versatile forward continues to earn a relatively modest wage alongside many of his teammates, even though he has been one of their most influential players this season, with seven goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Bianconeri.
After switching to the senior team at the end of 2023, the 20-year-old decided to move on Transfer markethas consistently shown renowned performances for the 36-time Italian champions.
Yildiz has not only secured a key role within the squad, but has also established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers – a status further cemented by his place among the nominees for the 2025 Golden Boy Award.
This season, Yildiz has further increased his impact by recording three goals and four assists in just thirteen appearances across all competitions, attracting the attention of several clubs, especially in the Premier League. At the same time, Juventus remains keen to extend his contract beyond 2029.
Citing Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport, Tuttojuve reports that Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are closely monitoring Yildiz’s situation in Turin ahead of a possible dive in 2026.
For the Blues, the Italian publication claims that the Club World Cup champion is willing to double his salary, with the winger currently in a stalemate over Juventus’ unwillingness to take his income above £4m per year.
Premier League record holders Liverpool are also keeping tabs on the youngster, with the report claiming the Reds are eyeing a move for Yildiz next year amid uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s future.
However, the report adds that Arsenal are ‘the most likely’ club to sign the 26-cap Turkey international. Yildiz reportedly favors a move to the Emirates Stadium ahead of Stamford Bridge or Anfield, which would put the Gunners in pole position.
Star to Arsenal
Yildiz offers impressive versatility in attack, mainly from the left flank, but equally adept at transitioning into the attacking role in midfield and other attacking positions.
In addition to his flair in possession, his work ethic off the ball and relentless pressing underline his all-round quality, which would fit perfectly with Mikel Arteta’s intensive, creative and fast transition systems.
With Leandro Trossard turning 32 in December 2026, Yildiz would be a viable option to provide competition on the left wing and eventually take over the spot if the Belgian leaves Arsenal.
Therefore, the Gunners will now have to take advantage of the player’s preference to join them, to move quickly and give him an advantage over rivals Chelsea and Liverpool.
