Well, the Premier League has started and it seems that Liverpool has won their home opener against a very exhausted side of Bournemouth. Ekitike scored, just like Gakpo. Conclusion? Liverpool is still good.
This season will be very interesting, you have the feeling that for the first time it is a battle for the strikers for the first time. Ekitike, Sesko, Gyokees, Isak, Pedro … Solanke?
I’m looking forward to it. Arsenal had a good window, just like Liverpool, and City has sandwich a few good players in their huge team on the lowest layer.
Who wins the competition? Arsenal. Placing three seconds in a row … it’s time to convert.
I told a friend who recently worked in sport that the stupidest hope I have for the season is a totally elusive: Arteta must be lucky.
Semenyo just scored … what an incredible ball from David Brooks. Wow.
Arteta would not make it in Napoleon’s army. Everything that can go against him usually does that. Injuries, new rule of red cards, happy goals against, crazy misses on the other side … We are functionally one of the best teams in the world. We have an incredible manager, a scandalous system, world -class players … but we miss the last part. A bit of luck. Merging it all. Killing a competition instead of playing with it when a cat teases a mouse.
So what do we have for us this season that that could change?
Hopefully more maturity with referees this year. It is unfair that we cannot play the dark art, but it is our reality. We are always a PGMOL target. You can complain about that or you can tackle it. No dark art. Play it clean. Don’t let them ruin the season. They have new rules, don’t let them make an example of us.
We have a target scorer this season. We have to let it work. The sacrifice that we made with Gyokeres, because our signing is that he is a fairly one -dimensional player. He scores goals. He is a bully. You don’t get Isak/Harry Kane Magic with Gyokees, you get a man who will end all day. He is not going to make anything on the normal one. So what does that mean? It means that we have to create opportunities for him and build our attack around him. He is great in transition, good of set pieces, and if you give him a garden, he will destroy. We know his strengths, we must see that everyone adapts to them as quickly as possible.
Berta has donated a team to Arteta. Yes, people have enough players for once. Depth, actual depth. I blubber on my laptop. There are 20 players who can have an impact this season. So Arteta has to find out how to use it. His great insight into last season must be tattooed on his thigh, so he doesn’t forget: you were not surpassed by lock, you were excess.
So what does that mean? It does not mean starting the same with 11 fifteen times in a row at the start of the season. Do not keep squad players outside in the cold until your injuries touch. Share the minutes, even if there is a risk. Don’t be afraid to switch Saka off at 60 if he looks cooked. Give teenagers time. Listen to the needs of players. If Arteta does, he is rewarded with fewer injuries. If he allows that nonsense -Machismo to lead his decisions, then we will have to win the competition with Merino in advance. I don’t like those opportunities.
The team, the team, the team. Arsenal’s success is not aimed at one or two freaks. It’s all about the team. We defend the best in the competition because the team is dedicated to defend well. The two previous seasons to last, we scored record goals (for Arsenal) because everyone is committed to chipping. We have a target score freak …
Semenyo again! What a solo goal. I am so stripped that we were not moved for him. Too expensive. What a talent.
… but we also need the team to do its job too. I need 10 goals from Declan. Martin Odegaard is a player of 15 goals per season. Martinelli, don’t come to me with a 6 goals, you are better than that. Madueke can be good for 10 goals. Kai Havertz should get 20 over all the compositions. If individuals do not drastically improve their output, why are they at Arsenal? Finish the chances. Be brave. Do not accept last season’s shortcomings.
Finally, what do we owe the club as fans? Absolutely nothing. Just joke. Fans in the stadium bring your best. Fans online, don’t go crazy if it’s not perfect. Last season was not fun for much of the year. I can handle bad football, I can’t handle the misery we bring ourselves through catastrophes about the smallest things. We must jointly understand that winning the Premier League, in this environment, as one of the few rules toleration, is not easy. The competition will not be a cakewalk. We will drop points. Nothing is lost in the first five games. Everyone is good. Nobody will become invincible. ACLs will blow. PGMOL will ruin teams. This season will probably be quite tight because City, Liverpool and Arsenal will be very good.
I can’t wait.
I also can’t wait to release it with you, my online internet friends. I have read that nowadays men have difficulty making contact with each other. I don’t want to exclude the great women who read this site. But men are pretty useless compared to comparison … and I think the community we have here is a help. I have read the comments (still crazy), the disagreement is really fun, and I love all the interactions I have with people via e -mail, in Patreon DMs, and occasionally nice things that happen on Twitter. Arsenal is the best form of therapy, so make sure that we are all well done this year.
Liverpool scores two … Boooooooo!
I would like to register and support the site Apple” PatreonOr here. But if you cannot drop a note for whatever reason and I will bring you to the attention here for a year, not questions. I know that things are tight for people, the labor market is shit and there happens lifelong. If this blog or the pod helps you in any way, let me know. But if I find out that you are a secret billionaire, then we have conversations (do it before the start of the season)
Okay, I did. I have undergone a small operation today. So the United Pod was hard to do. Could do it tomorrow. But go on the predictions of the season.
