Opinion: where should Livramento go?
If Livramento leaves Newcastle this summer, the decision on his next club will be crucial to his career trajectory. A move to Chelsea could offer Premier League visibility and an opportunity to cement himself as a key part of a rebuilding squad under new leadership.
Stamford Bridge could suit him tactically, and the opportunity to return to one of his former clubs could have an emotional appeal. However, Chelsea’s defensive options are volatile and competition for places can be fierce.
ARSENAL has one of the best defenses in Europe and Mikel Arteta knows he needs to sign players who will immediately challenge the stars he already has in the squad.
Staying at Newcastle may be the most sensible option for consistent first-team football and personal development under Eddie Howe. Newcastle’s recent push for European football and their Premier League project could provide both stability and competitive fixtures.
If he leaves, Livramento must get regular playing time or risk stagnation. A move abroad may also suit his development, but for now a stay at Newcastle or a carefully selected move to a club where he plays week in, week out appears to be the best route for long-term growth at this stage of his career.
