Arnold Allen refuses to give up championship goal despite losing at UFC 324

UFC featherweight Arnold Allen isn’t afraid to give up his championship goal despite his UFC 324 defeat.

Last night, Arnold Allen returned from a long injury layoff and looked to build some momentum in the featherweight division. He took on Jean Silva, who, as we know, is one of the fastest rising stars at 145 pounds. Unfortunately for ‘Almighty’, it was Silva who ultimately managed to raise his hand and move closer to a potential title shot.

In the meantime, Allen has to go back to the drawing board and think about what went wrong. There’s no denying he’s one of the division’s very best, but the window could be closing for him at featherweight. He has a great team, he has an interesting style and he has all the potential in the world, but those things don’t always translate into success.

In a tweet after the fight, Allen had this to say.

Allen reacts to the UFC 324 loss

“Good to be back after the break, I had fun against a great opponent, I thought I did enough but that’s the game, I’ve been here before. I hope you enjoyed the fight, you like having fun fights, but I haven’t given up on my goals of becoming a champion.”
