If you even have a passing interaction with the commercial truck industry, chances are that you will be familiar with Paccar. The original Cummins ISB debuted in 1998 as an inline-Six of 5.9 liters; That version produces between 215 and up to 325 hp. With regard to the 6.7-liter ISBE, this is up to 385 hp and 900 pound-foot torque. Paccar’s new engines are functionally identical to the Cummins engines on which they are based, but Paccar has not given up when developing and producing its own diesel options.
