It is Monterey Car Week, and you know what that means: a stream of one -off cars that cost more than all the houses on your street. And now Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) has also officially received the world of customized supercars, his first two models revealed: the S1 LM and the Le Mans GTR. While sister company GMA focuses on hand -built production cars, GMSV exists to go a little further, create one -off committees, specials with limited editions and heritage inspired by heritage for enthusiasts and collectors who want vehicles for people who need cars who do more than just go fast.

The debut of GMSV marks a new chapter in the craftsmanship of the car, in which Gordon combines Murray’s Racing Legacy with modern intended intention. Both models pay tribute to Le Mans, a deep love for endurance races and celebrating Murray’s Le Mans Triumph 1995. The vehicles are as many art pieces as machines with powerful performance.

S1 LM: The “Special One”

The S1 LM is the very first committee of GMSV, a one-off project born from the love of a customer for the designs of Murray and his historical victory from 1995. Each surface of the S1 LM is newly sculpted, with ultra-light weight that defines a slinky profile. Le Mans-inspired lights, a front splitter, dual element rear wing and diffuser rear combination for considerable downforce and tons of drama.

Central to the experience is a customized 4.3-liter V12 engine that produces more than 700 hp, combined with a manual gearbox based on T.50. The engine comes to an alarming12.100 rpm and has an 18-carat Goudfoilt inconselaus system, which means that a literally rich sound is supplied by four centrally mounted exhaust pipes. Murray’s philosophy of lightweight, director -oriented engineering extends to the suspension, with new geometry, lower riding height and damper tuning for maximum connection with the road.

Inside, the tailor -made cockpit places the driver in the middle, which reflects Murray’s principle of ‘Engineering Art’. The interior is strange minimalist but still enthusiast than the house of your rich uncle, with customized materials, skeletarchitecture and precision-made details everywhere. Only five road-legal S1 LMs are built, with deliveries that start in 2026, only so that you know it is exclusive.

Le Mans GTR: Longtail Inspiration meets modern engineering

The Le Mans GTR is GMSV’s modern view on longtail endurance racers, which gets inspiration from icons such as the Porsche 917, Matra-Simca MS660 and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/3. In contrast to GMAs T.50, the GTR mixes the road-going usability with track-oriented performance, with improved passive border layer control, a rear wing with full width, Twin-channel rear diffuser and a low-drag aerodynamic package optimized for balance and stability.

Powered by GMA’s high-reversing V12 and a manual six-speed gearbox, the GTRs transforms lightweight Ethos from Murray into a contemporary, powerful road car. Track-ready functions include stiffer suspension, a wider track, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, improved cooling and a solid engine mounting system that reduces the vibrations without sacrificing feedback. The cockpit has been completely re -conceived for the director’s focus, with adapted materials and design options that honor the inheritance of classic Longtail racers.

The production will be strictly limited: only 24 Le Mans GTR Supercars – one for every hour of the iconic race – has been put into use. First deliveries are planned for 2026 and all units have been sold to collectors via Joe Macari Performance Cars.
