Antoine Semenyo: Man United in the driver’s seat to sign Bournemouth talisman – Man United News and Transfer News | The People’s Person

Antoine Semenyo’s upcoming future at Bournemouth has become a hot topic of discussion following the emergence of a release clause.

During the summer transfer window, Semenyo attracted interest from several clubs, including Manchester United, before signing a new contract until 2030 at Vitality Stadium.

However, the Cherries could lose their talisman as early as January as Semenyo’s suitors could sign him mid-season for £65m, including £5m in add-ons. According to Fabrizio Romanothe said clause will drop to around £50 million at the end of the campaign.

Romano claims that Bournemouth would like to keep the Ghana international at the club until at least June. United, however, has other plans.

Manchester United are keen to sign Semenyo

According to TransfersUnited consider Semenyo their “top priority” heading into the winter transfer window.

United are believed to be his “most likely destination” as the Premier League giants are prepared to make a significant offer.

The Red Devils want to secure the 25-year-old’s signature “as soon as possible” amid increasing competition.

It is added that the Ghanaian winger is tempted by an opportunity to make a significant career leap and move to Old Trafford.

Semenyo would be a phenomenal signing for Man United

United spent a lot of money on attacking reinforcements last summer. Yet their frontline remains thin and a recent injury to Benjamin Sesko has given Ruben Amorim plenty to think about.

Over the past 18 months, Semenyo has been one of the most consistent players in the Premier League.

The London-born star was directly involved in 20 goals in all competitions last season under Andoni Iraola. This season he already has six goals and three assists to his name in the Premier League.

The Bournemouth star has the ability to bring dynamism and flair to United’s squad. Furthermore, Amorim’s versatility could see him deployed in a number of positions, including as a left wing-back.
