Anthony Hernandez is ready to “relax and concentrate on violence” during the Fight Week of UFC Vegas 109, prior to his main event that invoices Roman Dolidze.
Prior to the fight, Hernandez (14-2, 1NC) media told the media day of the event that “the focus is the same as it has always been. Go out and cook these bastards until they are ready to be ready.”
Yet there was another name that was tackled ‘fluffy’ before the game, in contrast to Dolidze. That would be Khamzat Chimaev, who champes Champ Dricus Du Plessis for middleweight gold on UFC 319 in the week after Hernandez’s own fight. To be honest, Hernandez was asked about the title fight – but when it arrived at Chimaev, he didn’t hide.
“I think Du Plessis is going to surprise a lot of people because he is a tough, clumsy mother. And Khamzat has fought many little boys who came up or at the last minute fights,” Hernandez argued. “He is a bit like a bully of the weight. I am still not sold to him. He is a kind of advertisement*ckhead, so I probably just don’t like him, because my only meeting with him, he tried to use Mad Dog and SH*t.”
Without getting to the details, Hernandez added: “I don’t play that sh*t, Bro. Run Bro. Being said, it’s not even on my radar now. I think Du Plessis is going to show the world. He is tough, keeps coming forward, I am curious to see what he can do with a real guy who is well focused.”
Asked if the title shot of Chimaev might be a bit too early, Hernandez seemed to understand the nature of the company and say: “It is what it is. The UFC is going to follow. Of course I don’t do as much social media as I should do, that is … I get the same questions because I asked the same questions because I was the 19-year-old boy.
“I don’t know. I probably should do more media, but if I have to be violent if f*ck and every bastard, then it is. This is just therapeutic for me. I enjoy this sh*t. So if I have to be violent with every f*cking -dings, then I am ready to fill a way then I am ready.”
