The E10 system consists of an inverter, a battery, solar energy and a tri-fuel generator. You can connect this to a Power Dock that automatically switches power to this system within 20 ms, or a cheaper Smart Inlet Box for manual switching during a power outage with a 200 amp connection. With the former, you won’t even notice that the power has gone out, and you won’t have to worry about restarting WiFi routers or medical devices.
These are housed in weatherproof, stackable, all-metal enclosures that can withstand temperatures from -20°C to 55°C and allow for wall mounting so they can be used safely in flood areas.
The 6 kWh modular battery packs are charged via grid and solar power, and you can connect three together for up to 90 kWh of backup. Each E10 can accept 9 kW of solar input from a rooftop panel array, and you can use any brand of solar panel for this. The generator, meanwhile, runs on gasoline, propane or natural gas and automatically turns on to keep the system humming.
A single E10 power supply unit can deliver up to 37.2 kW, which is enough to start powerful appliances such as a 5-ton air conditioner; you can also stack a second E10 for 66 kW. Thanks to the turbo function, you can use heavy appliances with no less than 10 kW per E10 for 90 minutes.
If you go all out and get 90 kWh of battery storage, you can expect every outlet in an average home to run for three days; Anker says the configuration can manage up to 15 days of backup power if used more conservatively.

The company offers full installation services for whichever E10 installation you choose. The system will go on sale on February 4, but you can pre-order it starting today.
The basic configuration includes an inverter and one battery, and costs US$4,299. If you add the generator and Power Dock auto-switching, it comes to $7,399. A $10 pre-order deposit gets you a $500 off coupon, an accessory pack with a 400W solar panel, and a three-year extended warranty, among other things.
Find the E10 system on the Anker website.
