Curveball Alert.
An angry Phillies fan led to indignation after she had been imprisoned with the bullying of a father to transfer a home runball that he had given to his young son, who celebrated his birthday.
The heated confrontation unfolded on the camera when Phillies Outfielder Harrison Bader launched a home run in the left field chairs during Friday’s match against the Marlins in Loompot Park
At least six fans ran in an empty row of the blue chairs to try to take the ball for the father, with a Red Phillies T-shirt, sprinted to the area and assured the appreciated souvenir.
The father then walked back to where his family was, about five seats away, and handed the ball to his ecstatic son, identified by the Phillies as Lincoln.
But a gray-haired Phillies fan, who could not grab the ball in front of her chair, would not let the moment slide through her fingers.
Seconds after the father had given his son the ball, the woman took the shoulder of the shocked father and pushed him out to make a claim to it.
“You took it away from me. It was in my hand,” the woman claimed, According to fan-taken images.
The two fans exchanged a few words, while both pointed to where the ball was picked up.
After a few seconds of a verbal dispute, the father shocked the ball from his son’s glove and handed it to the woman, who came back to her chair.
Lincoln, however, received support from the Phillies and Marlins after the unfortunate meeting.
A representative of Marlin’s apologized and gave the boy a prize package, which consisted of different gifts, including baseball balls for him and his sister, who sat next to him during the competition.
“We took a cool little goodie bag,” said the representative Lincoln, giving him a plastic bag with many gifts, According to a video posted on X.
The crowd cheered when the representative continued to apologize to Lincoln.
After the game, Bader Lincoln invited to meet each other, where he donated the fan with a signed bat and the team revealed that it was the boy’s birthday on Friday.
“Going home with a signed bat bat,” The Phillies wrote on XShow photos of Bader who signs a bat for Lincoln.
The unexpected FanFecht ensured that a stream of users of social media showed support for Lincoln.
“Very well done! Shame that fan for her arrogance and selfishness,” wrote a fan on social media. “The child was happy to just get a baseball and she had to make it all about herself and cause a scene. Glad the Phillies and Marlins performed and treated this with the class.
“She still has to give it back and apologize,” demanded another fan.
Others applauded both teams because they gave a step further to make Lincoln smile after the stunning situation on the sidelines.
“It’s good [that] The baseball team worked out something to try to make up for the situation. ‘
“I’m going to make a fan of Phillies (baseball),” said another.
