Andrei Arlovski is world champion again after his dominant victory over Ben Rothwell at BKFC KnuckleMania 6.
Arlovski looked good from the start, catching Rothwell with a jab, followed by an overhand right that sent the defending champion into the ropes.
Surrendering the opening round, Rothwell turned up the aggression in the second round, landing some solid shots, but the story of the verse was once again Arlovski’s stinging jabs. Arlovski connected with a vicious right that broke Rothwell open, sending blood streaming down the champion’s face.
Rothwell barely got out of the second after eating a brutal combination from Arlovski, but he wouldn’t be so lucky in the third.
74 seconds into the third, the referee paused the action to check Rothwell’s cut. After a few moments, the fight was officially called off and a new BKFC heavyweight king was crowned.
