Just over a year before her world fell apart Ana Ivanovic spoke with warmth and pride about the man she believed was her rock: her husband and former football player Bastian Schweinsteiger.

By April 2025 whispers won from a split at the traction, and in June the internet exploded with explicit photos of Schweinsteiger on a beach in Mallorca, kissing and hugging a mysterious blonde who was soon identified as Silva Kapitanova, a colleague -school parent whose school attended the same school.
What makes the scandal even more painful is that Ana, not aware of the storm that lay in front of us, had opened her heart about how deep she appreciated the support of her husband and the feeling of security he gave her.
Ana immediately remembers that he knew that Bastian was the one: “The eyes are the mirror of the soul.”
During the conversation with a respected Serbian reporter, Ivanovic shared how she immediately knew Schweinsteiger that Schweinsteiger described the feeling as unmistakable and rooted in a deep, soulful connection.
Interviewer: You are married, you have beautiful children … If you met your husband, think back … did you immediately see what would happen later? What did you feel? Tell us about it.
Hence: Every woman feels it in the moment. I felt it right away. You can just feel it in a look. As they say, “The eyes are the mirror of the soul.” I believe the eyes never lie. And if you look in someone’s eyes and feel something – that’s it. Although you are still only friends, get to know each other, there is that feeling, that feeling of each other from before … I think women feel all that.
Ana about the deep safety she found in Bastian: “He is my voice of reason.”
In the interview, Ivanovic opened the essential sense of safety that her husband offered and described it as a rare luxury and an anchor through the ups and downs of life. She emphasized how much someone’s having to trust for her, especially in view of her emotional nature, with Bastian serving as her stable voice of reason.

Ana: Absolutely. Even today he gives me that sense of safety every day.

Serbian passion and German precision formed the unique band of Ana and Bastian
Ana reflected warmly in the mix of their two cultures, and emphasized how Serbian fire and German structure complement each other perfectly. She shared how Bastian embraced life in Belgrade and her family, while their different approaches to organization and planning created a balanced and harmonious partnership.
“We were able to get along so well because, as you said, our mentality is full of fire, and he likes that. He comes to come here, to be part of our family, to be in Belgrade, going out with friends. On the other hand, their mentality is a bit different … More organized, more analytical. Truth.”
Bastian has now discovered that fire in a woman from the neighboring country of Serbia, Bulgaria. Paparazzi photos of Schweinsteiger and Silva Kapitanova showed the couple that lay side by side on a beach in Mallorca and later embrace passionately in a luxury resort in Greece. The divorce of Ivanovic has been completed and Bastian now lives with his new girlfriend in a luxury sea -visiting villa that he rents for 50k euros per month.
