American comedian Amy Schumer has announced that she is divorcing her husband Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage.
The I Feel Pretty star married chef and farmer Fischer in 2018 and welcomed six-year-old son Gene a year later.
Last month, speculation began that their marriage was in turmoil after she deleted all her photos from her Instagram account and replaced them with just one post.
In this selection of photos showing off her recent weight loss, Schumer posed with son Gene (his face covered in emojis) — and minus her wedding ring.
Schumer has now confirmed that the marriage is over, posting a statement on Instagram on behalf of herself and Fischer this weekend.
“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after seven years,” the comedian’s post began.

Schumer shared an image of himself and Fischer and continued, “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.
“We would appreciate it if people respected our privacy at this time.”
After issuing another trio of “blah blah blahs,” Schumer hinted that their split wasn’t due to her recent weight loss, adding, “not because I lost some pounds and thought I could put on some pounds.” [sic] basket and not because he is a hot Janlmes [sic] beard award-winning chef who can still pull a hot ponytail.”
She signed off: “Kind and all the love and respect! Family forever.”

This comes after a source said this The Daily Mail that their marriage started to implode around the same time as “she got thin.”
Another insider said: ‘Amy doesn’t talk about Chris that much anymore, it’s like they’re not close anymore.
“It’s never there, and she hasn’t taken it to the red carpet in months.”

The outlet’s source also claimed that Fischer’s autism diagnosis played a role in their fractured marriage, adding, “He doesn’t even get her jokes, and being funny and making people laugh is important to her.”
‘You also have that classic cliché: when a woman loses weight, her personality changes.
‘Amy has changed since she lost the weight, she is much lighter-minded and easier to get along with. I think she wants more out of life.’
However, in a recent Instagram Story, Schumer denied both claims, writing that “whatever is happening to Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism.”

Earlier this year, the Kinda Pregnant star spoke out about her dramatic weight loss, claiming she lost 50 pounds — not 30, as initially reported — to survive a potentially life-threatening medical condition.
“I had a disease that makes your face extremely swollen and can kill you, but the internet discovered it and that disease is gone,” she said in a video posted to social media.
This apparently related to her 2024 diagnosis with Cushing’s syndrome – a rare condition caused by having too much of the hormone cortisol in the body.

Schumer revealed at the time that she developed the condition after receiving steroid injections to treat scars from her C-section and breast reduction surgery.
According to the NHS, a rounder face is the most visible symptom of Cushing’s syndrome, while patients can also expect muscle weakness, intense mood swings and body fat on the neck, upper back, chest and abdomen.
Schumer, who has also admitted to having plastic surgery, liposuction and using the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, signed off: “I’m sorry for how it makes you feel that I lost that weight.”
