Ruben Amorim admits that it is ‘frustrating’ that Man United cannot replicate their performances in Old Trafford when they play away after they have defeated Sunderland on Saturday.
Mason Mount opened his account for the season seven minutes after the kick -off, before Benjamin Sesko doubled their lead in the half hour.
United has now won three Home Premier League matches on the bounce, but still have to win on the road.
Amorim was happy that his party would come as a victor and achieved three valuable points, but wants to see more consistency on their travels.
Amorim ‘frustrated’ despite man utd wins on Sunderland
“I think we did well, it wasn’t the perfect performance,” he told Sky Sports. “We had our moments, but during the game we were competitive and we stayed in every detail.
“Those are the kind of victories that the big teams should have, the game is not perfect, sometimes the opponent has the ball, but we are focused and know what to do. Getting a clean slate is good.
“In our recent past when things are going well at the start of the game, we can keep the level when something goes against us, we suffer a lot. We have to improve that.
“It is a bit frustrating to see my team play at home so much, but not playing the same way away from home.”
After a difficult start of life at Man United, in which Sesko could not find it in his first six performances for the club, the Slovenian striker now has two goals in two league matches.
“It’s really important for him, he lives for the goals,” said Amorim. “It is important to eliminate all the pressure he has. Every time we kicked the ball, Ben was there to run and connect. I am really happy for him.”
